Noer Media has decided to remove all content from NRK Urørt, including both previously published and upcoming releases.
This decision follows repeated rejections of new submissions due to the involvement of AI as part of the creative process. While we fully respect the perspectives of composers, songwriters, and producers, we believe that this stance does not reflect the evolving reality of modern music creation.
At Noer Media, we see AI as a tool, not a replacement. It is one of many instruments that can support creativity, inspiration, and artistic expression. Human intention, emotion, and artistic direction remain at the core of every release we stand behind.
We strongly believe that music should be an open space for expression, where new technologies are met with reason, balance, and common sense. Clear guidelines and thoughtful curation are important, but blanket rejection of music that involves AI risks limiting creative freedom and innovation.
For these reasons, Noer Media will continue to focus on platforms and spaces that embrace creative diversity and allow artists to explore new ways of making music, while maintaining respect for the craft and those behind it.
